Federal judge orders insurer to explain autism coverage

A Michigan insurer's claim that behavioral therapy for children with autism is too experimental to be covered has prompted a federal judge to ask for evidence of the company's claim. The parents seeking class-action status in the lawsuit say Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has refused since July to provide the evidence the court has now requested.
