Yet another sign that chimps are smarter than we thought: Santino, a chimpanzee at a zoo in Sweden, calmly collects stones in the morning, before the zoo opens, so that he can launch them at visitors later, when he's agitated. Cognitive researchers say this suggests chimps can anticipate a future mental state and plan for it.
