Music clips to be blocked from YouTube's U.K. site

Users will no longer be able to upload premium music videos to the U.K. version of Google unit YouTube, following a breakdown in negotiations over a new licensing pact between the online giant and the Performing Rights Society for Music. YouTube blamed "prohibitive licensing fees and lack of transparency" for the failure to come to terms, while PRS said Google wants "to pay significantly less than at present" to the writers of the music.
