Some experts see downturn hitting search-ad spending

Some experts are growing pessimistic about the immediate prospects for the search-engine sector, with consumer spending down and marketers trimming ad budgets. Kevin Lee, president of Didit.com, a search engine marketer, said: "Ad spending is notably lower than we expected during planning last fall. Overall, we would imagine that Google's revenue growth is slowing markedly and if economic contraction continues there might actually be a year-over-year decline."
