Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said he explained to President Barack Obama the steps Greece is taking to address its debt but that Greece has not asked the U.S. for financial aid. "What we are doing is, first of all, revamping our economy. We are taking measures to put our economy on the right track," Papandreou said. He said he and Obama discussed a proposal in Europe to crack down on speculation in the financial market, noting that Obama's response was "very positive."
