HP readies campaign to tout its capabilities beyond printers

Hewlett-Packard is looking to educate consumers that it has expanded beyond being just a printer company, and will spend $40 million on an eight-week marketing campaign featuring celebrities to get its message out. "Awareness of what we do has not kept pace with [our] expansion," said Michael Mendenhall, HP's marketing chief.
