Indian retailers consider cash and carry ventures

More retailers in India are looking into the idea of developing wholesale trading ventures to tap into millions of independent stores, known as kiranas. Retailers and industry consultants say the idea is attractive as companies can partner with foreign firms, which can invest freely in such cash and carry businesses.
