Iowa allocates $1 million to study Chicago-to-Omaha line

The Iowa Transportation Commission has allocated up to $1 million to study the possibility of a Chicago-to-Omaha passenger rail line. States are required to match funds under the Federal Railroad Administration's high-speed rail program, and Iowa has received $1 million from the FRA.
