Pakistan State Oil plans big LPG push

Pakistan's state-run oil company, Pakistan State Oil, plans to scale up its retail revenues from liquefied petroleum gas in a bid to offset losses from Pakistan's thriving black market in petroleum products. The company will establish LPG filling stations in the hope that shortages of compressed natural gas, which is used as auto fuel, will persuade drivers to make the switch. "We will come with a bang," says PSO director Irfan Qureshi. "The way forward is LPG."
