Public product-safety website becomes available

The database debuts today. A project of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the site will allow public access to safety reports and consumer complaints about various products. However, some are concerned that filing false reports could result in confusion. Manufacturers will have 10 days to review complaints before they are posted.
