Pa. district asked to review ban on parent visits at lunch time

School board members in a Pennsylvania district want a decision reviewed that prevents parents from eating lunch with their children in school cafeterias. A temporary ban, put in place after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, recently was made permanent. Supporters say the ban was intended to increase student safety, while opponents question whether it unfairly penalizes parent-volunteers who already must pass strict background checks.
