6 weeks of HCV therapy may be as good as 12, study says

NIH researchers told the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections that six weeks of hepatitis C treatment using sofosbuvir and ledipasvir plus one of two additional drugs appeared to be as effective as a standard 12-week regimen. None of the treatment regimens used in the testing included interferon, researchers said.
