ACC: Feb. global manufacturing PMI steps up; job growth shows gain

A global manufacturing purchasing managers index gained 0.3 points to hit 53.3 in February, maintaining a generally increasing trend since last April, according to the American Chemistry Council. "Growth continues to be stronger in the United States and the Euro Area, and the upturns in Japan and the United Kingdom remain robust," the report said. Meanwhile, the week's U.S. economic data showed mixed results, with job growth slightly better than expected in February.
