Rising health care costs may contribute to slow job growth

Executives are increasingly citing the high cost of providing health insurance as a reason they're reluctant to hire more employees even as the economy expands. Instead, companies are hiring temporary workers, who typically are not eligible for health benefits. Health care spending by employers has risen more than 10% in the past three years, government reports show.
