Online content spending continues to rise

Data from comScore Networks indicates consumer spending online rose 14% to $1.8 billion in 2004, with the biggest gain -- 90% -- coming in the category of entertainment spending, especially music purchases. The most money was spent in the dating category, with $469.5 million going to relationship sites, a rise of 4.4%.
