Column: Singapore Airlines' starts business-class-only flights

Singapore Airlines says demand is so strong for business-class tickets between New York and Los Angeles and Singapore that it will fly jets with all-business class seating on the routes, The New York Times' Joe Sharkey writes. Meanwhile, the weakening economy has stalled growth at many premium-class carriers. "No segment is completely resilient," Singapore Vice President Ian Lorigan said. "But given that the front-end demand has really exceeded expectations, we're pretty secure in our decision that this is what the market wants."
