EU approves Google's DoubleClick acquisition

European regulators cleared the way Tuesday for Google's $3.1 billion acquisition of interactive advertising firm DoubleClick, shortly after which, Google announced it had concluded the deal. The combined company will enhance Google's ability to serve, target and track banner and rich media advertising.
