American evaluating further capacity cuts

American Airlines says February's weak traffic patterns could extend into early summer, with advance booking rates running 2.5% behind last year's level. American already has announced a 9% capacity reduction for this year, and further cuts might be on the way. "If we need to take out more capacity, we'll do it, and we can do it," says CFO Thomas Horton.
