Experts say potential remains for luxury goods in Asia

Paul Husband and Juliet Warkentin, international experts on the retail industry, say Asian markets hold promise for luxury-goods sales. "Certainly, retail sales are down in Japan, but it will remain one of the world's top four markets for luxury brands, and China is still showing pretty good growth," Husband said. "The potential in China is huge and still largely untapped -- for middle-market as well as luxury brands -- and the same goes for India."
