Health initiatives get large share in appropriations bill

President Barack Obama signed a $410 billion appropriations bill that would provide funding to nine federal agencies. The measure allocates $30.3 billion for disease research at the NIH, $6.6 billion to the CDC's public health initiatives and $125 million for community health centers.
