Lawmakers support green cleaning in Connecticut schools

A Connecticut state senator is pushing a bill that would require school districts to phase in green cleaning programs. Similar measures have been implemented in Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania and Vermont, and officials say that in addition to making sense from public health and environmental standpoints, the switch to green chemicals is cost-neutral or offers savings.
