Senate OKs bill to delay provider pay cut, bolster Medicaid

The Senate passed a $138 billion bill that delays a 21% cut in medical provider Medicare reimbursements until Oct. 1 and extends jobless and COBRA benefits for unemployed workers. The measure, which must be reconciled with a bill passed by the House, also includes $25 billion in Medicaid funds for states.
