Wisconsin officials consider impact of national curriculum

Wisconsin officials say local school boards would be responsible for adhering to a national curriculum, but schools that do not follow such a standard would risk performing poorly on state assessments. Wisconsin is one of 48 states that signed on to the draft national standards, which were unveiled Monday. Officials say the proposed core standards are more detailed than the state's current standards.
