Daylight saving time is a real killer, scientists say

Americans will be at a significantly greater risk of heart failure on Monday and Tuesday this week thanks to the biorhythmic stress caused by the start of daylight saving time, scientists say. Researchers say the risk of having a heart attack increases by about 10% following the clock change, thanks to the adverse effects of sleep deprivation and circadian-rhythm disruption.
