Fla. district eases restrictions on mobile devices

The Palm Beach County, Fla., school board has relaxed restrictions on the use of iPads, cellphones and other mobile devices -- a departure from a position the board took in 2007 that promoted an outright ban on such devices. The district will monitor the use of the devices, and students found using them inappropriately will be disciplined.
