Report: Independent pizzerias have more than half the market

The away-from-home pizza segment makes up 9.5% of the commercial foodservice market in the U.S., with annual sales of $46 billion, according to CHD Expert. Limited-service eateries sell 83% of the pizzas Americans consume each year, and independent pizzerias claim 56% of the market.
