Analyst: Daily deal sites aren't too big to fail

It's no secret that many daily deal sites have closed since the once-hot trend began to fizzle, and some industry analysts say Groupon's biggest rival, LivingSocial may be eventually be sold or liquidated. "The daily deals space is saturated, and it never provided tremendous value to merchants. And that was the fundamental flaw in the business model," says Forrester Research analyst Sucharita Mulpuru-Kodali.
