How emerging IMDGs can help utilities handle smart grid data

Application developers are increasingly turning to server clusters known as in-memory data grids as a means of increasing scalability and powering real-time analytics of large amounts of data. According to William Bain, founder of ScaleOut Software, IMDG's are particularly suited for smart grid monitoring systems, as well as other platforms that require rapid responses to "fluctuating market conditions."
