Sweden builds heated bridge that prevents snow from covering path

The Tullhus Bridge, a 230-foot pedestrian path over a river in Sweden, has an "innovative built-in heating system" that keeps it free of snow and ice. The bridge, built of steel and shaped like an hourglass, has vibration dampers that counteract vertical movements to keep it secure. The bridge was prefabricated in pieces, sandblasted, welded and shipped to the site.
