ExxonMobil asks feds' approval to resume operations at Pegasus pipeline segment

ExxonMobil has requested that the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration approve its plan to restart a portion of the Pegasus oil pipeline, which was shut down last year following a leak in Mayflower, Ark. The company said the portion of the pipeline in Texas was not damaged by the incident, and it wants to restart operations at the segment no later than March 28. The agency confirmed it has received the request but has yet to decide on the matter.
