Foxx: Deal for new funding for transportation is "far from sealed"

There will be uncertainty over transportation dollars while Congress looks at how to fund transportation projects, says Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, and the fight for transportation funding is expected to be "rough" and "far from sealed." Foxx and President Barack Obama are calling for the enactment of a four-year, $302 billion transportation bill. Foxx encouraged transportation experts to work on Congress. Tell them how the "year-to-year uncertainty, the sequestrations, the shutdowns -- tell them how this stuff is affecting our ability to do what everybody, Republicans and Democrats, want to do, which is to build our country and make it as strong as possible and competitive as possible in the future," he said.
