Lobstermen unionize in Maine

Hundreds of lobstermen in Maine have started a union despite the fact that most of them are small-business owners who aren't likely to strike or negotiate for higher wages, Connor Beatty writes. The union reflects the "broadening scope of the modern labor union," as unions increasingly are seen as entities for supporting lobbying and marketing efforts, Beatty writes.
