Smartphone app connects patient photos with doctors' orders

AppwoRX is a mobile application that uses a photographic record-keeping program to improve the patient-doctor follow-up procedure. Co-founded by South Florida internist Ariel Soffer, the app brings in $300,000 in annual revenues. "I believe one day patients will walk out of a [doctor's] office with two medication prescriptions and three app prescriptions," said Soffer.
