Pedestrian bridge survey ends in tie

Participants in an online poll gave equal preference for two of four bridge design proposals for a pedestrian bridge over a crowded road in California. The top choices were a railroad truss and an arched bridge, though some area residents argue the space is not appropriate for a "statement" bridge and favor something more low-profile.
