Teacher turnover leaves schools searching for answers

High teacher turnover that plagues impoverished urban schools is fueled by low salaries, poor preparation and a lack of support, experts say. More than one-third of new teachers leave the profession within three years, and 46% leave within five, according to a report by the National Commission for Teaching and America's Future.
