Program allows near real-time videoconferenced music lessons

The MusicPath system overcomes the traditional shortcomings of videoconferencing to link up music students in rural areas with teachers via the Internet. Its developers have reduced transmission delays to about half a second, which enables instructors to monitor audio and video feeds of their students' playing almost simultaneously.
