Senate approves $2.4 trillion budget plan

The Senate passed a $2.4 trillion spending budget early this morning. Approved by a 51-45 vote, the spending plan shrinks the size of tax cuts President Bush asked for, but honors his request for an increase in homeland security and military spending.
