Houston teachers asked to return bonuses

Almost 100 Houston teachers were asked to return up to $2,790 in bonuses issued in January because of a computer error made by the school district that runs the country's largest merit-pay program. The local teachers' union president advised members not to give the money back, saying the district's error should come out of its pocket, not teachers' bank accounts.
