Coast Guard will delay acceptance of cutter

The Coast Guard said it will postpone acceptance of the National Security Cutter until April or May, citing problems with several of the ship's systems. Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman are building the ships. "The industry team is working closely with the Coast Guard to deliver the NSC on time according to the mutually agreed upon schedule," said a spokeswoman for Integrated Coast Guard Systems, the joint venture between Lockheed and Northrop.
