N.Y. bridge plan gets plenty of public input

New York transportation officials are accepting public comments until March 31 on plans to repair or replace the aging Tappan Zee Bridge and add a mass transit option to the 30-mile corridor. More than 300 people have already attended briefings sponsored by the New York Department of Transportation, which hopes to begin construction by 2010.
