Researchers find colorectal cancer gene:

U.S. researchers have identified additional colorectal cancer gene regions on chromosomes 1p, 15q and 17p in a study of 194 families. The study looked at families with different cancer clusters and found the different phenotypes may link to different chromosomal regions, which backs the theory that multiple susceptibility genes cause different types of cancers.
