Texas Gas pipeline expansion gets positive EIS

Construction of two natural gas pipeline laterals in central Arkansas and Mississippi will have little negative environmental impact if Texas Gas Transmission uses recommended mitigation measures, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said. FERC issued its final environmental impact statement Saturday on the Texas Gas Fayetteville-Greenville expansion, and the agency will conduct a review before issuing a permit.
