Tribune turns to radio pioneer for innovation role

Tribune Co. has hired Lee Abrams, who is credited with developing FM radio's "album-oriented rock" format and who created more than 100 of XM Satellite Radio's music channels, to be its chief innovation officer. In his new position, Abrams will chart the direction for the company's newspapers, TV stations and Web sites, according to this article.
