ONC encourages docs, patients to demand more health data

National Coordinator for Health IT Dr. Farzad Mostashari is encouraging patients and doctors to ask for more data at the point of care to help drive health information exchanges. "No investment in standards or infrastructure for information exchange will rapidly mobilize information sharing if the underlying demand for the shared information is low," writes Mostashari and ONC colleagues in an article in Health Affairs.
