Poor parental well-being may impact VLBW children's behavior

A Finnish study found that the existence of depressive symptoms, parenting stress and weak sense of coherence in both parents concomitantly correlated with more behavior problems among very low birth weight children at age 3. The findings, based on data from 189 VLBW preterm babies born between January 2001 and December 2006, appear in the journal Pediatrics.
