Cordray nomination spurs agency-structure criticism

Although Republicans praised Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray at a confirmation hearing Tuesday, they contended that structural and funding changes needed to be made at the agency. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said the GOP demands were nothing but a "filibuster attempt against Director Cordray as an attempt to weaken the consumer agency."
