Ouya CEO touts online multiplayer capability at SXSW

The Android-based Ouya game console, which will start shipping by the end of this month, will have online multiplayer capability by the end of 2013, founder and CEO Julie Uhrman said at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas. The company was able to raise $8.6 million through a Kickstarter campaign to finish development of its console and put it into production. Some attendees at Uhrman's on-stage interview took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with a perceived lack of new information about Ouya.
