3D facial bone graft performed on motorcycle crash victim

Surgeons in the U.K. performed a groundbreaking bone graft procedure on a 29-year-old man who sustained fractured eye sockets and cheek bones as well as broken skull and upper jaw in a motorcycle crash. Doctors used 3D printing technology to generate virtual models of the patient's cranium as well as to create medical-grade titanium implants.
