Jani-King owner: Tax reform should consider small business

In developing a plan for tax reform, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and other lawmakers should consider the 30 million small businesses that pay taxes through the individual rate system, writes Jeff Freeman, owner of the Jani-King cleaning franchise and member of the Coalition for Fair Effective Tax Rates. Small businesses should not have to pay an individual income tax rate as high as 39.6% while larger, richer corporations pay less, Freeman writes.
