Nestle's Lean Cuisine grapples with a changing market

Nestle's Lean Cuisine brand of low-calorie frozen dinners has struggled as sales have decreased more than 25% over the past five years. Other competitors in the low-calorie frozen meals sector are also struggling, due in part to the economic downturn, a growing trend of cooking from scratch and the perception that frozen foods are not as healthy as home-cooked meals and leftovers.
